Meet the crocodile who doesn’t like water: he’s cute, he’s scared, he’s lonely. This little crocodile wants nothing more than to fit in with his siblings. He tried to be like all the other crocodiles but it just didn’t work for him.
I adore this book, it’s such a great story to read with children and there are so many different themes to explore. Last time I used this book in my classroom, we explored the similarities and differences between the crocodile and his siblings. Then we extended that to our own lives. We talked about what it means to fit in with everyone else, what it means to be different, and that it is ok to be unique. The Crocodile Who Didn’t Like Water is sure to make children laugh as they watch the crocodile attempt to fit in.
